Daily cash reconciliation, done in minutes.
At the end of the day, Clovemi works out how much cash should be in your drawer. You count what's there. Any difference is recorded with a reason — so short and over days never go unexplained.

How it works
Three steps to close the day.
1. Review the day
Clovemi pulls the day's cash sales and cash expenses straight from your Daily Record — only payments and expenses with a cash payment method count toward the drawer.
2. See expected cash
Enter opening cash plus any cash you took out or put in during the day. Clovemi calculates how much should be in the drawer as you type.
3. Count the drawer
Type in the cash you actually counted. Clovemi shows the difference instantly — or “Balanced” when it matches to the cent.
Expected vs counted
How expected cash is calculated.
- •
Opening cash
Defaults to the amount counted at your last close — edit it if the float changed.
- +
Cash sales
Completed payments recorded as cash that day.
- −
Cash expenses
Expenses paid in cash that day (voided ones are left out).
- −
Cash removed
Cash taken out of the drawer, like a bank deposit or owner withdrawal.
- +
Cash added
Cash put into the drawer, like extra change.
- = Expected cash in the drawer

A $5 short day: Clovemi asks for a reason (say, “gave extra change”) before the day closes.
After the count
A clean record of every day.
Every difference gets a reason
If the count is over or short, you can't close the day without saying why. Differences over $20 are marked Pending Approval instead of Closed, so a manager can take a look.
Closed days stay closed
Only an Owner or Admin can reopen a closed day, and they have to give a reason. The original close is kept and marked Reopened — nothing is quietly rewritten.
Cash accuracy over time
Each close's difference shows up on your dashboard's Cash Accuracy chart, so a pattern of short days is easy to spot.

FAQ
Daily Close questions.
How does Clovemi calculate expected cash?
Expected cash = opening cash + cash sales − cash expenses − cash removed + cash added. Cash sales and cash expenses come from that day's Daily Record; you enter opening cash, cash removed and cash added when you close the day.
Where does opening cash come from?
Clovemi suggests the amount you actually counted at your most recent close, since the drawer carries over. You can change it before closing.
What happens if my count doesn't match?
Clovemi shows the difference and asks for a reason before the day can be closed. Differences over $20 are saved as Pending Approval rather than Closed.
Can I fix a day after it's closed?
Yes. An Owner or Admin can reopen a closed day with a reason. The original close is kept and marked Reopened, so there's always a record of what changed.
Is Daily Close included on the free plan?
Yes. Sales, Expenses, Cash & Daily Close, and Reports are part of every Clovemi account, including the Free plan.
